Taking her inspiration from country music artists such as Shania Twain and the Dixie Chicks (now the Chicks) Swift crafted original music that was a reflection of her experience of being a tween and feeling alienated. Swift relocated from Pennsylvania with her parents to Hendersonville, Tennessee when she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to contacting country labels.
