Ashanti Douglas, also known as Ashanti is born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is an American singer-songwriter and actor. Ashanti, a teenage actor and singer in the US, had her name signed by Murder Inc. Records to release a single in 2002. She was featured on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? song that was released the following year. Ja Rule's song, Always on Time as well as Fat Joe's What's luv? The songs of Ja Rule include Foolish (number one) and the track What's Luv! She became the first female artist to hold both of the Top two spots on the The Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and What's Love? The 16th of October Hey Baby (After the Club) was released on the radio and online outlets. She appeared on The Christmas in the City film and also played Latasha in Army Wives.
